Owned by the husband/wife team of Bob Barrett & Mary Loftus, Precious Prints is a new style of ceramic art studio.  After working together for 11 years in a retail music store, they have what it takes to make a family business work!

Mary's long-term experience with children of all ages is what makes this studio special.  Her background includes:

  • 8 years-Teaching Pre-School Arts & Crafts at the Williamson County Recreation Center
  • 10 years-Leading art classes for children with challenges as part of Camp Will
  • 11 years- Girl Scout Leader
  • 13 years- Preserving hands & feet in cement garden stepping stones
  • 15 years- Making ceramic handprint plates
  • 15 years-self-taught ceramic artist

Bob lends his expertise in the operation of the studio and the preparation of the materials.  He works behind the scenes to make cement, run the equipment, and keep the production on schedule.  He also has taken on much of the marketing of the studio.  His background in retail operations, along with a sharp business mind is a real asset to the mix!

Keeping the business small and home-based allowed Mary to be at home while the children were very young.  Now that their girls (Jill, 20 & Colleen, 17) are older, the whole family gets into the act!  Don't be surprised to see the girls helping out after school and on week-ends!
